Lord,

sunshine and soil and water and seed,
* ?8 s" j% V' r' l. Q5 Tinto food upon which we are soon to feed, % a6 ~; U) P4 f8 D$ Z; \0 a
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
' O. D# w( c" c- q; a0 }0 `3 Bso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
/ T: x( b1 M. e+ G dWe who came first and are ready to dine
' N; u, d' p$ j: w1 a2 ^ A/ lthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, * N- H2 Q" H+ M, p3 ~+ E& ?
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, & v6 X3 F: |) Y- f5 J0 {6 y
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.' e* D. R( O* t; p( a
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
5 t0 h$ ], m; O- a1 Q7 F" \the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
