One night I had a dream
+ k* [* A; B; k+ }I was walking along the beach with my Lord.: I4 n. X6 A( @
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
( R1 j6 b! J  n. X. X9 R& t: WFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,; _9 m5 q5 w3 q/ O
one belonging to me
" c9 `" }: e/ ~5 _) i; b3 uand the other to my Lord.
( g5 |0 M6 P/ r6 s2 U* @When the last scene of my life shot before me+ V- j9 H0 I0 D5 u% T% a
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.2 c  }6 d+ F; X/ [3 n2 F
There was only on set of footprints.
1 [% I7 `( t# WI realized that this was at the lowest
4 m4 P; S# E( z0 s3 f4 L2 h% `and saddest times in my life.
% B6 y& x4 T5 {" T7 b! j6 IThis always bothered me - y- @* [3 R8 k1 {! d# [9 h
and I questioned the Lord% N( f: }) O0 b; K8 u) U4 n9 w5 ?  ?- ^
about my dilemma.1 ?6 z. l8 R1 i3 q& s
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, d: I# v7 D2 |. t" G) _# ~
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
3 D# V9 i0 M8 q9 x7 \, C: }1 QBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 5 F! K8 k& i! m  h
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.. W$ ^6 A0 `3 m5 i
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
