4 m2 y' q, }; Y9 L/ [% B% ROne night I had a dream7 O( X; a9 s. a) k
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
( R! Q- r; S9 m7 Z- b4 _Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.6 h# S2 X8 C' {: W
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,6 N3 P0 Z. s% {; t7 @6 \
one belonging to me
- \9 r! _8 c! O3 {- P1 |/ ?) {  Wand the other to my Lord.$ V1 c% Z0 U3 F, j2 o; [4 ?8 _
When the last scene of my life shot before me0 Q) a, x6 a$ g3 F& K
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.$ i7 `- s# K, K0 j  b  F
There was only on set of footprints.8 F0 o5 [. v& H) f
I realized that this was at the lowest & L  {, T0 f0 G% r/ w" M4 E
and saddest times in my life.5 e* p4 P* [' L  l
This always bothered me 9 y% h" r" S- t' ^) H
and I questioned the Lord
- S+ V  V7 t; S3 O/ Iabout my dilemma.
5 X. n. X% E7 |"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
! S$ `8 L3 t5 K* NYou would walk and talk with me all the way.0 ~; j; k7 J7 D& F
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
9 }4 z' X0 ]& I. ^& A/ U; ^times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
, o. e  a: C& D1 u* _- a- f: l; dI don't understand why, when I needed You most, # Y- L. L# g% f# J8 v6 ?
you leave me."
) z( x$ o0 s& `% X  k: P8 {. K7 qHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
